A new Me

I have discovered now that I am ever so close to "40" that my hair is becoming increasingly grey. The blonde is not cutting it any more. I have decided to go with the brunette look. I am hoping that this will keep me looking young. Oh who am I kidding I am just trying to cover the grey. Anyway here it is. If you don't like it look at it a couple of times. I think it may have to grow on you. I LOVE IT and I won't go back to being a blonde.

The newest family member

Well, today we added a new member to our family. His name is Hoss. At the rescue shelter they said he was a Carnardly "Can hardly tell what he is". All I know is that he is so cute. He is lead trained and so calm and laid back. But, this is the first day. My idea could be shattered by tomorrow. The kids are crazy about him and he is crazy about them. Shiloh could care less and as for the cat well he bowed up once and that is all it took.

He was given a good bath like or not by the kids. He has run and played and been carried until he is just about ready to pass out. He is just a big loveable adorable sweet bundle of furr. We are so happy to have him with us. Now, we are looking to Shiloh to raise him. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Shelby's 1st day of work!

Well it is official. Shelby has now entered the working world. And surprisingly enough she loves it. She is working at an Italian Restaraunt (and man am I excited. As you all know that it is my favorite cuisine). She is waitressing and had a blast her first day. She was given an "ata girl" by her boss. She did have one complaint though, "My feet are killing me". Welcome to the real world girly. I had to give her the talk about working with the public. Apparently I was too late as she had one of those rushed and cranky customers tonight. She handled it like a trooper. Tomorrow is her first official day. The day she will be making the big bucks and getting to keep her tips... I am so proud of her and I know that she will do a great job.

The Serene Life

As I was sitting here deciding what to update my blog with I came to the understanding that I am happy. I am listening to my favorite christian radio station and the words fit my mood so clearly. "you are like water to me" What a serene feeling to know that no matter what happens to us in our lives we are certainly not alone. His love and promise to be with us always is the comfort we have the priveledge of knowing. The word forgiveness means the companssionate feelings that support the willingness to forgive, the act of excusing a mistake or offense. How hard this is for us as human beings. But think what a wonderful God we have that He can forgive us for the most horrible sins and still love us with that unconditional love we all crave for. I am happy, Thankful, and serene. I hope you see this picture and feel the serenity and know that God loves you. Have a blessed day.
